Are your basement windows outdated or falling apart? There are 3 types of windows you can replace them with!
Glass Block Windows
These are one of the most common options for basement windows. They do sell them at the hardware stores in certain sizes but you can have them custom made to a specific size. Otherwise, they do sell individual blocks so you can build it yourself. Glass block windows are secured in place with a special mortar. You can also get them with a “hopper” which is a little window with a screen.
Vinyl Windows
If you have a finished basement, then a vinyl window gives a nicer look. You can get them with a slider so you can open them and let in fresh air. Since they are vinyl you don’t have to worry about rotting or decay.
Egress Window
One of the more bigger basement window projects, this is very important to have if you are looking to finish your basement and add a bedroom. These are required by code for safety. You need to have an escape in case of a fire. You can get these in vinyl as well.
